Birds are beautiful creatures. They are both entertaining and fun to play with - but at the same time allow you to 'get on with your life'. There is not too much rushing around after them and can be taught quite impressive tricks! But they do, however, need taking care of. Taking good care of your pet not only shows you care, but helps maintain cleanliness of the cage and help the bird(s) have a healthy lifestyle and a friendly environment. Taking care of your bird does mean keeping it entertained - but this doesn't necessarily mean devoting all your time to it. Of course, you'll want the best for it, but don't waste the whole day trying to entertain your bird. There are other ways. Buying another bird for it would be best.
