As for the industries in which men prefer to do business, the most popular is trade. In second place - transport and communications, in third - real estate and construction. But agriculture turned out to be completely unpopular.
It should be noted that all of the above is true primarily for small businesses. Medium-sized companies are much more likely to operate in manufacturing and agriculture.
As you can see, the overall picture differs from what is typical for women’s entrepreneurship. Recall that women prefer to start a business in the service sector, in particular in catering, as well as in the trade of beauty products.
But the reasons that force men to start their own business are about the same as those of women. The main one is the desire to be independent and to work for oneself, and not “for an uncle”. In second place is the desire to increase your income level, in third - to do what you love. Other motives for starting a business include the desire to be successful and live with dignity, as well as the desire to pass on your business to children.
When it comes to the factors that prevent men from starting their own business, they also resonate with the fears that plague women. Both sexes face obstacles such as a lack of knowledge necessary to start their own business, as well as a lack of funds. In addition, potential businessmen are frightened by possible administrative barriers.
