Migraine Pal is a context-aware application. It tracks daily activities of users and specially made for Migraineurs. The purpose of this application is to predict migraine attack, identify the triggers of migraine, and give lifestyle changing recommendations. This is done by monitoring sleep cycle, water intake, food intake, physical activities, phone usage and weather forecasting. In short, the aim of this application is to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) activities. These therapies will decrease the number of migraine cycle.
Other than that, medication reminder and appointment reminders are also included in Migraine Pal.
Migraine is a neurological disorder but according to the psychologists is initially caused by depression which is a psychological disorder. When it is identified as a neurological disorder, then doctors treat it with medication or surgery. Tablets affect the health of migraineur. It can be treated behaviorally with Cognitive behavioral therapy.
Some identified migraine triggers are insufficient sleep, some foods items, tiredness, depression, anxiety, stress, irregular meals and some environmental factors like sound, light cause migraine. When things associated with these triggers are tracked, it gets easier to know the exact trigger that cause migraine.
