Usually, many histology courses start by teaching the basic tissues of the human body, showing how a limited number of features can end up telling us a story about each organ’s function.

The Bima™ Histology Classifier application is a learning resource that helps students identify histological structures seen in the lab practice using the mobile device camera.

This app has been trained to recognize 39 different features by 70 thousand photos. It contains five sets covering the basic tissues of the human body, including Epithelia, Glands, Connective and Specialized Connective Tissues, Muscle, and the Nerve Tissue.
