Cyber Guardian brings you POSSE, the Personal Online Safety Security Evaluation.
What is POSSE and what does it do for me?
Personal - it is interactive and unique to you
Online - it covers the current online threats to you
Safety - it keeps you safe from current threats
Security - it protects your information through your habits
Evaluation - it assesses your current status and provides unique guidance
POSSE is for everyone, there are profiles for parents, to enable them to guide their children, for adults, for employees and for Small Medium Businesses. Each profile has questions covering the common threats and risks faced by that group.
POSSE no-nonsense and jargon-free, yes, no or don’t know questions, about ten minutes to complete, to understand you, your threat awareness and your security habits.
POSSE guides the development of threat awareness and security habits to protect the user from the most common threats faced to them, based on the common threats faced by their user group including, but not limited to, the following;
Individuals (Adults): Online scams, Phishing, Smishing, Phreaking
Parents: Cyberbullying, Online grooming, Gaming addiction
Employees: Phishing, Business Email Compromise (BEC), Overhearing, Overlooking
SMBs: Phishing, Overhearing, Overlooking, BEC, Single Point Of Failure
As threats develop the assessments will be updated to consider these, to ensure your protection is up to date through your knowledge and awareness.
From your responses the tool provides a risk indicator and a limited amount of guidance specific to you.
The tool works with you to develop your security culture and enables you to be safer online. As you learn the guidance and show this in future assessments the risk indicator reduces, as your security culture and awareness increase.
