Daughter of the former mayor of Monteiro Francisco de Assis Neves Nóbrega and granddaughter of José Leite de Sousa, former mayor of Monteiro and former state deputy, she was elected on October 2, 2016 to serve as mayor of the municipality of Monteiro in the quadrennium 2017/2020.
