The Faculdade do Meio Norte (FAEME) consists of a set of undergraduate and graduate courses, extension programs and the Higher Education Institute - ISE, operating in the city of Coroatá in the state of Maranhão. Initially 2002 it was maintained by the Brazilian Educational Institute (IEB) which, as an institution with Christian principles, started its academic activities by offering vocational preparation courses for those interested in the pastoral and missiology fields, such as basic courses in Theology and Seminars
