the biography :
Abu Bakr Al-Asbahani d. 296 AH / 908 AD
He is: Muhammad bin Abdul Rahim bin Ibrahim bin Shabib bin Yazid Abu Bakr Al-Asbahani, Al-Asadi, the sheikh of readers in his time.
Al-Dhahabi mentioned him, d. 748 AH, among the scholars of the seventh class of memorizers of the Qur’an.
As mentioned by Ibn al-Jazari, d. 833 AH, among the scholars of readings.
Abu Bakr Al-Isbahani received reading from the best scholars of his time, foremost of whom was: Abu Al-Rabi’ Suleiman bin Akhi Al-Rushdini.
Abd al-Wahid ibn Abi Hashim said: Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Daqqaq told us, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahim al-Asbahani told us, he said: I read the Qur’an to Abu al-Rabi’ ibn Akhi al-Rushdini and sealed thirty-one seals on it, and I said to him: To whom do you entrust your reading? He said: To Warsh
Al-Asbahani also read to Mawas bin Sahl, Al-Hasan bin Al-Junaid, and Al-Fadl bin Yaqoub Al-Hamrawi in Egypt. Al-Asbahani said: I entered Egypt with eighty thousand and spent it on eighty seals
Al-Asbahani was famous for his reading and his great status deserved praise. In this sense, Abu Amr Al-Dani, d. 444 AH, says: Al-Asbahani is the imam of his time in the narration of Warsh, and none of his peers disputed that with him.
Al-Asbahani’s reading of workshops that Muslims receive is still accepted until now
As Al-Asbahani narrated on the authority of Othman bin Abi Shaybah, Dawud bin Rashid, Ishaq bin Abi Israel, Abdullah bin Omar Mashqadana and others.
Al-Isbahani died in Baghdad in the year two hundred and ninety-six AH. May God Almighty have mercy on him and may God reward him with the best reward.
Ibn al-Jazari chose twenty-six paths for him, saying:
Al-Mutawa'i recited the gift of God to Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Abdul Rahim bin Shabib bin Yazid bin Khalid Al-Asadi Al-Asbahani. These are twenty-six roads to Al-Isbahani.
Al-Isbahani recited to a group of workshop owners and companions. The workshop owners were Abu Al-Rabi’ Suleiman bin Dawud bin Hammad bin Saad Al-Rashidini
