Iridology is a science that is about two hundred years old. Its Refoundation was developed by the Hungarian Ignatz von Peczely, who saw an image appear in the eyes of an owl after grabbing it from a leg and breaking it (by accident). Other authors such as the Swedish Nils Liljequist expanded it. In America he entered by the hand of emigrated Germans. In Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, France) is quite developed. It is considered a discipline of alternative medicine, not only because orthodox medicine does not recognize it as a science but also because of its approach to the human being as a whole (and not organ by organ).
