Arsenal Football Club (also known as Arsenal or The Gunners) is an English professional football club based in Holloway, London. Founded in 1886 under the name Dial Square. This club plays in the English Premier League which is one of the most successful clubs in English football, having won 13 Premier League titles (10 in the First Division era and 3 in the Premier League era) and 14 FA Cup titles (the most titles in the Premier League). ). Arsenal hold the record for the longest period at the top of the Premier League without having been relegated since the 1919 season and become the team in first place in the Premier League standings throughout the 20th century. Arsenal became the second team in England to finish a league season without losing (2003–04 season) and the first team to do so in an era where a season lasted 38 games.

Arsenal was founded in 1886 in Woolwich and in 1893 became the first club from the south of England to join the Football League. In 1913, it moved north across the town of Arsenal Stadium at Highbury. By 1930, the club had won five League Championship titles and two FA Cups. After a period of leaning on the post-war years it won the League and FA Cup double, in the 1970-71 season, and in the 1990s and first decades of the 21st century won two double titles and reached the 2006 UEFA Champions League Final.

Arsenal have a long-standing rivalry with fellow North London side Tottenham Hotspur, with the North London Derby contesting. Arsenal was the fourth richest football club in the world in 2013, valued at over $13 billion. In the Premier League, Arsenal are one of the teams that have never been relegated. Arsenal were the first football team to introduce the use of numbers on the jersey.
