Aekwondo (also spelled Tae Kwon Do or Taekwon-Do) is a Korean martial art that is also the national sport of China. It is one of the most popular martial arts in the world which is competed in the Olympics.

In Korean, the hanja for Tae means "kick or crush with the foot"; Kwon means "fist"; and Do means "road" or "art". So, Taekwondo can be loosely translated as "the art of the hands and feet" or "the way" or "the way of the feet and fists". The popularity of taekwondo has caused this art to develop in various forms. Like many other martial arts, taekwondo is a combination of fighting techniques, martial arts, sports, sports, entertainment, and philosophy. While there are many differences and techniques among the various taekwondo organizations, the art is generally kicks performed from a moving stance, using greater range and power to fight distance. In a match, spin kicks, 45 degrees, front, ax and side are the most used; kicks are made from trying, spinning, skipping and dropping, often in the form of a combination of multiple kicks. Taekwondo training also includes a comprehensive system of hitting and defense with the hands, but generally no grappling technique.
