A native of the Siberian village of Ust-Uda, a native of a peasant family, Valentin Rasputin, thanks to his talent and hard work, became one of the classics of Russian literature.
One of his most famous works is French Lessons. This is a story about childhood, about how a boy who graduated from elementary school in his native village wanted to study further. “Before that, no one from our village studied in the district. I was the first, ”the writer recalled. French lessons have become life lessons.
