This Dictionary has simple and compound words, place names and their meanings, terms and phrases that had disappeared and were rescued through a thorough investigation carried out in the Tuahka communities.
Mayangna is taken as the main language or starting point of this Dictionary. In the Miskito equivalents, some words are identical due to lexical exchanges between these two neighboring indigenous languages that, although distant, also have a common origin.
In the translations into Spanish and English there are some imperfections, mainly in the examples, since there are some words that do not have a really satisfactory equivalent in these languages. This is because Mayangna is an original indigenous language of the North Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua and Honduras.
