Reserve private sauna & ice bath sessions at Saint in Chelsea, NYC.
Set to open in December, the location is designed by New York–based architecture duo BOND (Wallpaper Top 400, 2025), offering guests sixty minutes of complete solitude with a cedar dry sauna, slate-clad ice bath, and rain shower—each entirely their own.
In an industry where the rise of “social wellness” shows no signs of slowing, Saint offers something more akin to quiet luxury: a series of private saunas and ice baths designed for just one or two people at a time.
Rather than joining the wave of neon-clad social saunas that emphasize transcendence through guided plunges with strangers, Saint is less about scale and more about attention—to the details of design, of atmosphere, of experience. Just enough of it to relax into ritual, solo or as a duo.
At its core is what co-founders Amanda Hensen and Alex Feldman call a “sacred promise”: to serve as a purveyor of personal space.
Inspired by Aesop’s model of site-specific interiors, each Saint location will be created with a different creative partner. No franchise templates—only spaces conceived as sites of interior appreciation and ritual, with their health benefits unfolding through use.
For its inaugural chapter, the founders turned to New York–based architecture studio BoND, known for historically attuned and materially sensitive interiors. BoND’s aesthetic through line is simple: ephemeral light seeping through darkness. A radically pared-down approach that emphasizes high-end textures and bespoke features such as fully built-in ice baths. (Yes, we proudly call it a bath, not the freestanding “plunge” you see elsewhere.)
Located at 242 W 29th Street in Chelsea, Saint’s first four spaces are set to open in fall 2025.
