Craniosynostosis
Craniosynostosis surgery is a procedure performed to correct premature fusion of cranial sutures in infants. These sutures are the junctions between the bones of the skull, which normally close as the child grows. When they close too soon, the skull cannot grow properly, which can lead to cranial deformities and, in some cases, problems with brain development. Surgery involves opening these sutures and reshaping the skull to allow normal brain growth and correct the shape of the head.
Create an application to study pediatric surgery, craniosynostosis, that tracks images organized in a cube and shows the model of a skull, planned and fragmented, anchored in these images.
During execution of the application it must be possible to select the model to be displayed, control the transparency of the model, select the inclination of the skull, it must also be possible to progress the state of the displayed model.
Initial models: Sabrina, Samuel, Sofia
Tilts: 0, 30, 45, 60, 90 degrees
States: original, planned cuts, fragments rearranged according to the desired final result of the surgery.
Hololens
In hololens there are some additional features.
Possibility to disable image tracking, keeping the model visible in the world.
Possibility of manipulating skull fragments individually.
