ARTUR is born from the need to reinvent the world of tourism and reach pre-pandemic levels. It is an application that combines the world of tours with augmented reality (AR). Due to COVID-19, both the entities that generated profits derived from tourist spending, as well as workers such as tour guides, tour operators or "free-tours" have suffered its consequences, the latter especially due to their precarious employment situation (contracts without protection, regulation...).

The application combines augmented reality, representing monuments, streets and experiences of different cities and adapting it to this technology. For example, with the app, the user can immerse himself in the Barcelona of the 1920s and see what the streets, houses and shops were like in those times. You can also see what the citizens were like back then, how they walked, how they were dressed... On the other hand, you can see the evolution of historical constructions such as the Sagrada Familia. Far from just recreating images of everyday life, it also incorporates key events that have marked history. At a local level without going any further, users can enjoy a 360-degree immersion of the celebration of the Barça sextet at the canaletas fountain and relive that great moment in the club's history. All thanks to photographs, videos and images/paintings from the past that have been the basis for the creation of augmented reality.
