A flashlight is a device that distributes, filters or converts the light emitted by one or more lamps, and which includes all the parts necessary to hold, fix and protect the lamp, and, if necessary, auxiliary circuits together with means for connecting the power supply. In this case, a lamp is understood as a source of optical radiation generated as a result of the conversion of electrical energy. A flashlight, along with a searchlight and a projector, belongs to three main types of lighting devices.
