A Strong Mind is a life-changing idea that was conceptualized by Tammy Fernandez. It was founded in 2020, and although it is relatively new, it makes up for that by creating a significant impact in the lives of the youth and young budding adults.
The youth are an overlooked segment in today’s population, often left alone to sort out their situations and issues. They are still trying to figure themselves out, and have to deal with stressful exams and teachers, starting out in their careers, maintaining relationships with their family and friends, understanding their love lives, among a host of other dilemmas. This can all be overwhelming, and if not checked, might have adverse effects in their lives – depression, lower school grades, performance problems at work, disconnected interpersonal skills, etc. That is where we come in; to provide proactive solutions that empower them to navigate their own path out of material hardship and into academic and life success.
We want to be there and provide the motivation needed to excel in their school work – assignments and exams, etc. We will walk hand-in-hand with them in assisting in acquiring basic education such as high school diplomas and GED, as well as certification for trades, e.g., in construction, hospitality, etc., for the purposes of getting jobs and being integrated into the society as productive members, and living a sustainable family life.
And in keeping up with them in this modern, technological world, A Strong Mind has taken advantage of Mobile Applications so that we can always be there with them. Our App will serve as an electronic journal for resourceful content. They can conveniently find academic insights that will go a long way in improving their school grades, as well as practical life skills such as cooking, basic car maintenance procedures, first aid, and much more. The App will also be an avenue for connecting with a mental health professional who will help them build sound mental wellbeing. Whether it is information on anxiety, depression, struggling with school, getting on with their parents, or places where they can seek help, we are here for you during these vulnerable occasions to impart healthy behaviors that build resilience and self-esteem.
