Old Age Security (JHT) is one of the programs offered by BPJS Employment. This program aims to provide financial protection and guarantees to participants who have entered retirement.

This pension fund is obtained from contributions paid by participants every month while they are wage-earning or non-wage-earning workers. For wage earners, JHT contributions are taken at 3.7 percent from the employer and 2 percent from the worker. While workers are not wage earners, the amount of JHT contributions is based on a certain nominal amount determined by regulations and adjusted to the participant's income.

JHT benefits that participants can take if they reach the retirement age of 56 years. JHT benefits can also be taken early before retirement if workers experience layoffs, their work contracts expire, or resign from their jobs.
Apart from that, JHT benefits can also be taken if the worker is leaving Indonesia, is permanently disabled, dies, or wants to claim a portion of 10 percent to 30 percent.
Disbursement of BPJS Employment JHT funds is done in cash and must go through a 1 month waiting period.
