Abbas Hassan (1901 - 1979) was an Egyptian grammarian, professor of Arabic at the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom - Cairo University, and a former member of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Cairo. He is best known for his book “Al-Nahwa Al-Wafi” in four huge volumes, which has been described as “the best book written on grammar in the modern era.”
