It all began with three women, a lot of faith and one dream: to make some of the best tasting cakes in Dar and build a game-changing business with both the products and the customer service experience we create. There was just one problem - none of us were professional bakers, and we didn’t have a clue where to start when it came to cake decorating, but we decided to do it anyway.

What started as an idea turned into business strategy meetings, meetings turned into experimenting with different recipes, and those experiments led to baking and selling our very first cake. With each of us employed at the time, we started taking orders from family and colleagues at work, baking them at home and doing the best we can to make them look presentable before delivering them to our customers. We’ll be honest, the cakes were not pretty, but we had one thing going for us – they were delicious.

Soul Treats’ success has been its ethos that cakes taste best when they’ve been freshly baked using exactly the same ingredients and techniques as those used in home baking. Even in our physical branch, customers can always be assured of a welcoming environment, friendly staff and the delightful smells and tastes of authentic home baking.
