The story of Bao Phuong's cake brand was born from the difficult childhood days of Mr. Bao. In 1948, when Bao was 18 years old, he went to make cakes for people in Hai Phong. When done, put the cakes in the lane and walk around the streets to deliver to the shops. After that, he rented a bicycle for a month to deliver cakes and it took 5-7 months for him to have enough money to buy a bicycle to sell cakes. At the age of 23, Mr. Bao launched the Bao Phuong cake brand. At first, Mr. Bao intended to take the nickname "Bao Huong" but found that the word "Phuong" was suitable for the situation to represent the life of Mr. Bao at that time and this word also means "direction" - the direction that Mr. Bao decided to choose to go.

Then, right after the Liberation of the Capital in 1954, Bao Phuong bakery at 201A Thuy Khue was opened and maintained to this day. In particular, the bakery always preserves the skill of his father to create traditional moon cakes with the same old taste.
