Az-Zahir is a prayer music group which has its own characteristics and has gained high popularity in Indonesia. This group consists of students from the Nurul Qodim Tegalagung Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java. The name "Az-Zahir" itself means "appearance" in Arabic, reflecting their aim to convey Islamic and devotional messages to the world through music and art.

With a strong passion in practicing religious values, Az-Zahir has succeeded in creating works of shalawat that are unique and different from the others. They use music as a means to convey messages of love to Allah SWT and the Prophet Muhammad SAW as well as a means to invite listeners to reflect and draw closer to God.

The group first appeared in 2008 and since then have released many albums containing various kinds of prayers, nasyid and religious music. Az-Zahir's harmonious vocal style and beautiful choirs have become their very recognizable signature. They are able to present a deep religious atmosphere and provide spiritual experiences to their listeners.


With the spirit of togetherness and sincerity in his work, Az-Zahir has proven that music can be an effective means of preaching and can touch the hearts of many people. They continue to be committed to producing works of religious and artistic value that can have a positive impact on the lives of many people. The Az-Zahir solawat group remains an inspiration to many people, reminding us of the importance of loving religion, culture and the arts in facing the increasingly complex challenges of modern times.
