Chhat Puja is one of the best known for sun worship in India. It is celebrated twice a year - the first time in Chaitra month (Chaitai Chhat) and secondly in Kartik month (Kartiki Chhat). It is celebrated for family happiness and prosperity. Men and women equally participate in the festival.
