AGRi360 is AI based mobile application capable to predict on plant disease outbreak by capturing photo within few seconds timeframe. Currently AGRi360 supports the plants 1. Paddy, 2. Wheat, 3. Cucumber, 4. Chili. The exclusive feature of the app is Detection of disease at early stage and can predict on probable spreading. The app can differentiate between Physical damage or tissue rupture from diseased portion from image processing on the go.
This app detects growth stage of the plant to further determine the preventive measures from probable disease spread in-lieu with the remediation. The app suggests remediation based on the disease detected which in terms minimizes the usage of unnecessary chemical application on the crop considering probability of occurrence of other diseases. This practice will decrease the uncontrolled use of chemicals which gets accumulated in soil, water and sediment. This will further empower farmers to stand on their decision on less usage of chemicals without depending on the specific pesticide.
The app helps the farmers to assess the risk and amount of pollution caused to the environment due to the application of the chemicals at various stages.
It is evident that carbon credits are playing a key component of strategies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. They represent a unit of measurement for the reduction, capture, or elimination of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.
The developed model has been designed in such a way that collectively it can calculate the total emission from pesticide application, which subsequently can be maintained as a digital record and can encash to gain Carbon Credit.
This application has been built mainly focusing on farmer’s benefit. But the broader aspect of the application lies much deeper with the contribution in Food Safety and environmental risk mitigation.
Apart from recommendations on plant disease detection and TER calculation, the app can assist farmers with determining the soil quality based on pH, carbon content, and particle size.
