Teddy Bear Houses is an application adapted from a problem situation
in the guide “Constructing numbers in nursery school” from the Ministry of National Education and Youth.
The objectives worked on are the decomposition and composition of numbers up to 10.
Game #1: Find the decompositions
- The child chooses a number of bears and the difficulty (green and orange buttons) to start the game.
- Green level (easy): He distributes the bears by sliding them into the houses;
- Orange level (medium): It indicates the number of bears in each house using the keyboard;
- each decomposition found is added on the right.
The game is over when all the decompositions have been found (a thumb associated with the quantity worked appears on the home screen).
Game #2: Find the total quantity
- The child counts the number of beds available in the two houses;
- it indicates the number of bears that can sleep with the keyboard.
A progress bar helps encourage the student to start again.
