The earliest extant one is "Poems of a Thousand Families" written by Xie Fangde of the Song Dynasty and Wang Xiang of the Ming Dynasty. Although this book is a collection of poems from the Tang and Song Dynasties, it focuses on the Tang Dynasty and is arranged according to the style. It contains 226 poems from 123 poets, all of which are five or seven-character rhymes.
