About the Science
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy developed by Dr Francine Shapiro and delivered by trained clinicians using a structured, multi-phase protocol in clinical settings. AIP (Adaptive Information Processing) is the theoretical model that underpins EMDR, describing how experiences are processed and can become stuck after a highly stressful event.
While this app does not provide EMDR therapy, it adapts these evidence-based principles for everyday stress relief and emotional wellness.
