⚫ Directorate of land records and surveys, a major directorate under the department maintains, develop land records for the entire state. ⚫ What is Jamabandi? Jamabandi is a title used to apply to land records in northern states of India – Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh. Jamabandi is the Record of Rights (ROR) of a village. The Jamabandi Register includes the name of owners, area of land, shares of owners and other Rights
⚫ Land or property mutation in Bihar is the process of getting a new owner's name entered into the government's records, against the property one has recently purchased. The name of the new owner is registered, by removing the name of the previous owner. This process is known as dakhil-kharij (entry-removal) in Bihar

Parimarjan portal has been established to help speed up this work by facilitating Raiyats to file an online request for necessary correction of Jamabandi record with the department.
