For centuries, Bharat has suffered the onslaught of Islamic invaders, who have left a wake of loot, pillage and destruction. The scars exist even today, the motherland broken into pieces. The kingdom of Gandhāra, mentioned in the Mahābhārata, has an almost non existent Hindu population today. But one need not travel to a foreign country to see carnage.

In 1990, Shri Sitaram Goel published a book. titled Hindu Temples – What Happened to Them, listing thousands of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist temples, which were destroyed to build Islamic monuments and places of worship, stressing this list was just the tip of the iceberg!

This app attempts to convey that same list in an interactive map form. (Clicking on any marker displays further information about it.)

For generations, certain historians have tried to whitewash these barbaric acts and terms like Syncretism and Tehzeeb have sneaked into our culture.
But like they say, Satyameva Jayate.
Truth alone triumphs.
