It is a presentation of history from the beginning of creation to its end. It begins with the beginning of the creation of the heavens, the earth, and the angels until the creation of Adam, then it briefly addresses the stories of the prophets, then details the historical events since the sending of the Prophet Muhammad until the year 768 AH, using a tabulation method based on years. The Sunnah begins with his saying, “Then a year began...” Then he lists the historical events in it and then mentions the most prominent people who died in this year. As for the end part, it contains the signs of the Hour until the Day of Judgment in detail.
He mentioned the people of Paradise and the people of Hell
Ibn Katheer said about his book: “In this book I mention, with God’s help and good success, what God Almighty has made easy of with His power and strength, in mentioning the principle of created things: of the creation of the throne, the throne, the heavens, and the two earths... and the stories of the prophets... until prophecy ends until the days of our Prophet. Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him...... Then we mention what comes after that until our time, and we mention the temptations, epics, and signs of the Hour, then the resurrection, the resurrection, and the horrors of the Resurrection.... and what was mentioned in that from the Qur’an, the Sunnah, the narrations, and the transmitted information that is reasonable among the scholars and the heirs of the prophets. ..”» The book was truly an honest mirror, and the authentic reference for the people of this art.
