The application can display all the information about your mobile network and your current position as well as the location of the cell tower where your cell phone is connected. That tell you how far your phone is from the tower.

This function returns all observed cell information from all radios on the device, including the primary and neighboring cells as well as other information.
CellID, MNC, MCC, and signal strength are returned for each communication network used by your phone.
