BuscAves is funded by the Explora Program of CONICYT, and executed by the Center for Environmental Management and Biodiversity GAB Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Chile, which aims to raise awareness, educate and contribute to the assessment of the avifauna of Chile through the use of science and technology. Thus presents from two scientific and technological support search and identification (web portal online and mobile application offline for mobile) a wide range of scientific and cultural characteristics of Chilean native birds, including habitat, color patterns, silhouettes, behaviors, songs, geographic location, social vision and role in our culture and art.
The project also promotes the activity of birdwatching (bird watching), encouraging outdoor recreational activities, family learning and caring nature.
