The ‘Clean Air Bihar’ App has been designed and developed by the Bihar State Pollution Control Board (Government of Bihar) and the Air Pollution Action Group (A-PAG) (support organization). The Clean Air Bihar app allows citizens to report air pollution-causing instances to the Government. The app has the facility to bring all the civic agencies of the city on one platform to ensure citizens’ complaints reach the concerned agency and get resolved in a time-bound manner.
It allows citizens to identify and report ‘Dispersed Sources of Air Pollution (Emission Tracking)’ in the Non-attainment cities i.e. Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur as declared under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) launched by the Government of India.
The citizen may report/raise complaints on the following steps:
1. The user has to register one time with a valid mobile number and email ID.
2. After login, the users can raise complaints on the “Raise a New Project” Tab.
3. Users can view raised complaints by clicking on particular icons.
4. Users can raise any number of complaints.
5. Complaints registration process-
I. The user needs to select the City and complaint category from the drop-down under “Action Item”.
II. Then the user needs to select the Organization, its Zone and Geographical Unit.
III. The address of the issue will be automatically filled. This can be edited if required.
IV. Then the users need to mention the landmark of the complaint location and a description of the issue.
V. Users can upload photos (through the camera or phone’s gallery) or pdf as evidence. The system will fetch the location of the complaint from the photo uploaded.
Note: It is important to note that the location and data should always be switched on while using the ‘Clean Air Bihar’ App.
