Its factory, with around 1.5 thousand employees, is located in Castanhal, in the interior of Pará, and also has a branch in Manacapuru (AM) and a commercial office in São Paulo (SP).

The company has certifications such as the “Fair Trade” seals of the Sustainable Alliance for Fair Trade (FairTSA, in its abbreviation in English) and Pesticide Free, which guarantees that there is no use of pesticides.


Castanhal's production is also certified by BCS, an independent certifier of ecological products based in Germany. The BCS seal – recognized throughout Europe, the USA and Japan – guarantees that Castanhal's jute products are compatible with the precepts of organic agriculture.

Currently, the company is the country's largest supplier of sacks for agricultural products such as coffee, potatoes, cocoa, among others.

Castanhal has been developing threads and fabrics for over ten years for the fashion, handicraft, decoration, weaving, footwear, tobacco and civil construction markets, among others. It is currently the only national manufacturer to serve these sectors.
