In the Peruvian context, migration and refuge are fundamental aspects for social, cultural and economic development. With the growing arrival of migrants and refugees, the need arises to promote their effective integration into society. To address this need, we propose a mobile application specifically designed to facilitate the roots process in Peru in a comprehensive and personalized way.
The application offers an innovative platform that accompanies each user throughout different stages of their integration process, from an initial assessment of their needs and skills to obtaining legal, economic and social stability in their new community. The objective is to create a useful tool that allows migrants and refugees to face the challenges of adaptation in a new environment, providing resources, guidance and a tailored settlement plan.
The development of the app is structured around various key dimensions of integration, such as identity, protection, education, livelihoods, sociocultural integration, civic participation and financial inclusion. Each of these aspects is addressed through personalized steps and recommendations that are tailored to each user's circumstances. Thus, the app promotes the effective inclusion and roots of users, facilitating their active participation and positive contribution to Peruvian society.
In addition, the application facilitates the long-term adaptation of each user through a “Route of Rooting” that covers everything from identity and documentation procedures to participation in civic activities and access to economic opportunities. Each step is aimed at ensuring that migrants and refugees have the tools to achieve stability and feel integrated and welcome in their new country.
This application is not only a practical guide, but also continuous support that accompanies users in their integration through a clear and multidimensional structure. The app reinforces the principles of inclusion and respect, allowing migrants and refugees to access useful tools and resources that impact their quality of life in the receiving country. Thus, this tool represents a commitment to the well-being and social inclusion of the migrant and refugee community in Peru.
