Through the Exact Measure, we seek to strengthen the teaching of Science and Mathematics subjects in a more friendly and conceptual way. The focus will be mainly on the concepts of Chemistry and Physics explored in the discipline of Sciences in the 9th year, in order to reinforce the learning of Elementary School students II. This is because both subjects in the last grade of Elementary School are taught only as an introduction to what will be seen in High School. In addition, the student will be able to learn in a fun and active way the content of Mathematics, which arouses a certain fear in many students, even though it is so important in many applications of daily life.
The Exact Measure app has a friendly and clean interface, displaying evocative colors for every user action within the system, making it easy to use. Suggestions for group dynamics (example: A close-up with the contents studied) and quick and practical experiences (example: Raw egg placed in glass of vinegar).
The application will have options so that the user can choose the subject to be studied, and will briefly explain how the proposed activity will assist him in understanding the matter (example: Study of chemical reactions with the experience of raw egg in vinegar, cited previously, its purpose is to show what happens when calcium carbonate is mixed with acetic acid, thus producing calcium acetate).
The application will provide relaxed and fun moments, making the student learn in a cleaner way.
Our application will cover matters such as proportions, magnitudes, geometry and probability (topics in which the materials can relate).
On the issue of accessibility, we intend to make an injection of colors that facilitate the use of the app for color blinds for example. Later on, if there is an opportunity, we think about doing something related to the hearing impaired or even visual.
The target audience of our application is mostly based on 9th graders (between 14 and 15 years old), especially those with some difficulty in Mathematics and Sciences, which includes, in this series, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. But if the student does not have difficulty in these curricular components, just seeking a reinforcement for their knowledge and a different way of studying, the student will be totally welcome to use our app.
Based on a survey conducted by the Lemman Organization and published in the Jornal o Globo in 2015, our group may conclude that practically all students seek a more interactive way of learning, so our target audience represents the entire set of students . In our point of view, students of the 9th grade who may be aiming to provide some entrance exam to enter high schools, and for that, it is necessary to know the exact subjects. Our app seeks to meet the need of an audience that usually has difficulty in these matters and does not find a solution not too present in other apps, a creative, friendly and stimulating solution.
The application's proposal deconstructs the massive form of how content is currently provided, exploring the curiosity and fun of the student.
