I've always had a problem memorizing Mandarin words. Well, because they all look and sound kind of the same. And the tones can make one crazy.
I couldn't find a simple app that would help me drill every single word long enough and keep me motivated. And without having to learn how to write. I just wanted to be able to understand people around me and read, and pass HSK. Learning how to write all those characters would take another 100 years and who has that time?
So, I made ChineseSan and it turned out to be pretty useful.
This app is not a magic pill. There isn't a shortcut in learning a new language, just accept it. And get ready to drill and review every day (if you really want to learn, of course). And you'll need some additional resources to learn Chinese grammar, because ChineseSan is all about words.
I offer you:
- ~ 5000 words and idioms (HSK 1-6 vocabulary + slang);
~ 2500 pronunciations;
- practice texts for beginners;
- a chance to learn 3 to 9 new words a day on average (or more if you're a genius);
- 3 weeks of free trial period (sorry, making this app took me ages);
- a simple design, complete absence of ads.
I hope you'll like it. If you want something to be improved - send a feedback.
Good luck!
