The Ibero-Latin American College of Dermatology (CILAD) is a non-profit organization that brings together more than 5,000 active dermatologists from 23 Latin American countries. With over 70 years of history, it was founded in 1948 in Havana, Cuba, with the aim of fostering the scientific development of the specialty and fostering fraternal ties between Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking dermatologists. The institution's officers, composed of the Board of Directors and National Delegates, are elected by the General Assembly of Members every two years.
