A new Monastic Precincts trail has been added. Until 1540 the Cathedral was also a Benedictine monastery and many of those medieval monastic buildings are still in use today. Tour the Cathedral’s monastic precinct to see how this served the monks’ daily life, to learn how members of today’s Cathedral community continue to use and shape this space, and to think if you wish about how we all can make an ‘offering of our lives’ in the places where we work and live
