The Galveias Parish Council and the José Luís Peixoto Interpretation Center intend to encourage the discovery of Galveias based on the work of José Luís Peixoto, one of the most notable writers of contemporary Portuguese literature. The CIJLP-Galveias mobile application provides the “Galveias” Literary Route, interactive and multimedia, integrated into the Alentejo and Ribatejo Literary Tourism Network. The novel Galveias by José Luís Peixoto plays a fundamental role in the discovery of the territory, its people and their experiences, contributing to tracing the deeper identity of Portuguese rurality, through portraits of the life and customs of the Alentejo interior. The Interpretation Center's exhibition project is distinguished by its close connection to the geography of the literary route and by the multiple interactive experiences available inside and outside the building.
