Cardiac coherence is a physiological state in which the heart rhythm becomes regular, coherent and harmonious. It is a simple and effective practice which consists of regulating our breathing to positively influence our autonomic nervous system.
The benefits of practicing cardiac coherence are numerous and scientifically documented. It can help reduce stress, anxiety and mental tension, improve concentration, promote sleep, strengthen the immune system and promote general well-being.
The particularity of this approach consists of breathing in a precise cycle of 10 seconds (0.1 Hertz) for a few minutes. This very intuitive application offers you a breathing guide on which you can use to perform your exercises.
Its configuration offers several options;
1. THEME: The environment that suits you (sea or stream on green moss rocks)
2. BREATHING: Define your objective to either find mental and physiological balance, relax or even energize yourself.
3. DURATION: An exercise time of 3, 5 or 10 minutes or so or unlimited.
4. GUIDE, it can be:
- visual - cursor moving up and down
- audio – a sound specific to inspiration and another to expiration as well as the announcement of the time which passes each minute.
- vibrator.
These options can be combined with each other.
