■ XR book play introduction

In order to help children understand the cultures and languages ​​of various countries at the National Library for Children and Youth, we are translating excellent Korean picture books into 6 languages ​​(Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Mongolian) and producing videos and contents. . XR Bookplay is a reading content created so that you can enjoy excellent picture books in 6 languages ​​based on realistic technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality. This is an XR (extended reality) play activity using the books “Tilt” and “One Summer Day” that were selected as content for multilingual fairy tales. You can enjoy play activities that stimulate children's curiosity about books in six languages ​​at the child's eye level. We hope that the book-XR content link will serve as an opportunity for our children to develop an interest in reading and have fun.

■ Content usage guide
1. Install the XR Book Play app on your smartphone or smart pad.
2. Open the XR Book Play app and press the Start button. Exciting XR (extended reality) play activities featuring creative fairy tales await.

① AR space play
- The space in the story unfolds around me. Press the corresponding button to run AR space play.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to recognize the floor on the screen.
- Adjust the book image that appears next to the desired size, and then touch the screen.
- The book opens and the space in the story unfolds around me. Follow the footsteps of the main character and move the screen.
- If you touch the question mark that appears on the screen, you can see what the main character is leaning on.
- Let's play a fun space game together, shall we?


② AR role play
- This is an activity where you try to become the main character in the story. Click the button to play AR role play.
- Take a picture of three different expressions according to the shape of the face in the center of the screen.
- Shall we record the lines now? Read the lines and record your voice.
- Now, let's check out who I am as the main character in the fairy tale.

③ Exploration play
- This is an activity to go directly into the story and explore. Click the corresponding button to start the exploration game.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to recognize the floor on the screen.
- Snowflakes spread and the space of polar bears spreads around me. Listen carefully and follow the polar bear as they explore the space.
- When a camera icon appears on the screen, get closer to the polar bear. I can take pictures. After taking pictures, you can learn many facts about polar bears.
- After completing the expedition, send a video letter to the polar bear.
