Tamil Nadu has been a Pioneer State in the Cooperative movement in the country. The prime objectives of these cooperatives is to serve the needy people, particularly in rural areas. The cooperatives play a vital role in not only increasing agricultural production but also increasing income of farmers by extending timely crop loans, interest free crop loans to the farmers who repay promptly within the due date.
