The app has been designed specifically to work with the Machine Works 4-Cylinder engine kit. It works by scanning the finished model to provide a multi-functional augmented reality experience.

Use your finger to rotate the images and animations on your smartphone to explore and learn about the various parts and functions of the engine. The glossary of engine parts includes an image of each, as well as a full written description.

You can switch between normal, x-ray or exploded views of the engine! There’s even an on/off switch that controls the animation of the engine, accompanied by the sound of a real engine.

A copy of the assembly instructions for the 4-Cylinder engine model is also included for reference.
