Jesus said, “and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:20) It is foremost important for saints to first know and understand the teachings of the Lord before they can abide by them.
There is one distinct characteristic in the Lord’s teachings - He often illustrates the mysteries of the heavenly kingdom, of the will of God, the many words of life, the eternal truths of God, in depth yet in plain, simple language with the use of parables, as it is said in the Bible, “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.” (Matthew13:35) Through the parables told by Jesus, saints can understand the mysteries of God’s will and Jesus’ primary teachings.
In order to help saints understand and appreciate Jesus’ parables in the Four Gospels, this book explains each one in detail, shedding light on its background, meanings, spiritual implications, teachings and its application in our daily life and in our service for God.
