Welcome to ANREV Annual Conference 2020
The ANREV 12th Annual Conference will be held on October 21-22 at the St. Regis Hotel in Hong Kong and will be streamed live to the rest of the world. In a time of change, the conference will look at the resilience of the Asia Pacific real estate market: how it has coped and is coping and even more importantly, how it will adapt to the new normal.
If you are an investor, manager, or advisor focused on Asia Pacific real estate, or if you are considering investing in the region, this conference is crucial for gaining knowledge. What will be the impact of the US-China trade war? Which markets and sectors will be the winners and losers? Today, real estate investors cannot ignore geopolitics, and to give you an enlightened global view, ANREV welcomes back Joshua Cooper Ramo, vice-chairman, and co-chief executive of Kissinger Associates and one of the world’s leading analysts of movements in politics, technology, and economics.
Ramo’s geopolitical take will be balanced by a pure macroeconomic view from Dr Yuwa Hedrick-Wong, economist and business strategist and a visiting scholar at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. The conference will also hear from Professor Richard Barkham, a global chief economist at CBRE on how the current economic environment will affect real estate.
The conference also welcomes Parag Khanna, global strategy advisor and author of The Future is Asian: Commerce, Conflict, and Culture in the 21st Century, which focuses on the shift in global power location from the West to Asia. He will look at how climate change and its implications will drive the future of the world and Asia. As well as these international thought leaders, the conference will hear from leading lights in the real estate funds business about the key issues for investors, including global real estate trends, the investor’s favorite sector – logistics, and an update on the activities of ANREV and its sister organizations around the world.
