Dizziness affects 1 in 4 adults. You are certainly not alone.
You may become dizzy if one of the parts of your balance system gives incorrect information to the brain. Most people experience temporary dizziness. In these people, the brain learns to deal with the wrong information. This is a natural recovery process. In some people, the brain does not adapt well. Then the dizziness will not go away on its own. Vertigo Training can then be a solution.
Vertigo Training is a free exercise program for people with dizziness. The exercise program accelerates the natural recovery process. Your data is completely secured as part of the personal health environment (PGO) of Gezondheidsmeter.
Vertigo Training contains exercises that require you to move your neck. Even if you have problems with your neck, you can usually safely perform these exercises yourself. It is important that you build up the exercises slowly. Has your doctor or physiotherapist strictly advised you not to make any movements with your neck? Then it is better to skip these exercises. To reduce dizziness, you can still use the other exercises and information in Vertigo Training.

General practitioners developed and researched the Vertigo Training app together with patients and healthcare providers. Scientific research shows that the app is just as effective and cheaper than existing care provided by a healthcare provider. Furthermore, patients and caregivers were positive about the use. Users can still help improve the app by also completing a questionnaire. This is not mandatory for downloading and using the app.
