Jai Swaminarayan mantra is chanted by devotees to destress themselves, bring positivity in life. It is also believed that the mantra holds the power to spiritually purify the soul.

Swaminarayan mantra refers to Purshottam Narayan, i.e. the Supreme Lord.

The power of Jai Swaminarayan mantra is such that when vicious thoughts arise then one should start clapping and chant “Jai Swaminarayan… Jai Swaminarayan aloud,..." (Vachanamrut Loya-6.)”

Anyone who says "Jai Swaminarayan", his/her sins will be forgiven by Supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
