The Baramati Municipal Council has launched a Chatbot system for complaints, designed to make life easier for its residents. The citizens benefit from this system by not having to rush to the municipal council office or spend time going through official paperwork because it includes a chatbot system and an Android application that allows them to register complaints about various social issues from the comfort of their homes.
The public can file a complaint through the Android application that can be downloaded from the play store and the WhatsApp chatbot. Various departments, including Encroachment, Illegal Construction, Illegal Hoarding, Law, Accounts, etc., allow citizens to file complaints here. The Head of Department (HOD) and the Field Officer of the corresponding departments take further action on these concerns. It is the duty of the Field Officer and the Head of Department (HOD) to investigate the status of complaints and make appropriate judgments. In order to maintain system monitoring, all of these activities are supervised by the Chief Officer (CO).
Above all, when a citizen files a complaint with a photo attached, the photo can be monitored using geotagging , which makes it easier for the relevant authority to locate the site of incident.
In this manner, citizens can bypass the lengthy in-person procedure and proceed through the complaints registration process with ease. This way, all complaints can be filed, followed up on, and handled without worrying about the paperwork getting lost or mishandled.
